I got an ITA in the last draw but I was invited to apply under FSW which I dont want for obvious reasons. So I declined my invite and changed the funds to $0 but still the system shows I am qualified for FSW. Also the weird thing is it does not show me my score anymore.

There is a comment in the system "If no score is displayed, please check that you have met Minimum Entry Criteria above. If you have met the Minimum Entry Criteria but your score is not displayed, wait for 24 hours then try again."

I can wait 24 hours but I just want to know if the FSW will change to Not Met.

Anybody faced this situation before? Your inputs will be of great help. Thanks !! :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

If you want to get invited under CEC do the following :

1) Say "NO" to ECA for a foreign degree.
2) Input the funds as CAD 0.

Since ECA for a foreign degree is mandatory for FSW and not mandatory for CEC, you'll be eligible for CEC and not for FSW.

For some people, the points are updated after some time! Give it 24 - 48 hours! Good luck!!

Good luck!

Yeah I just have to wait and see I guess. Im just wondering if this occurs usually or ??

If u have a
"Canadian degree for 1 year or more"
(I am not talking about ECA issued Canadian degree)

OR

If u have a
"Job offer in Canada"

Though u kept funds to ZERO... u will be eligible for FSW.

I have a Canadian Masters, so how do I get CEC then? You mean to say I will always get invited through FSW only because of this? That doesn't seem right.

I have faced this scenario...

I too tried to keep funds to zero and other stuff but I was eligible for both

Your category in your profile says CEC, so even though you were eligible for both you got ITA under CEC since you kept the funds at $0 ?

If you're eligible for both, by default, you'll be invited under fsw. Keeping funds = 0 alone won't budge, i believe. This was discussed earlier in some other topic. Keep us posted if you find a solution. Thanks!!

Is there a reason you prefer CEC over FSW?
Does it matter? Your ultimate goal is to get the PR, both ways will, so why bother?

Just curious. thanks.

CEC applicants sometimes see some quick processing of their applications. There is no need to show funds if you are applying under CEC. ECA is not required if you are applying under CEC.
