Does it matter that I don't have any long dis phone bills? We were long dis. 13 to 15 years ago...after that we were married for 12 years now. Also i don't have our plane ticket stubs either. But i have alot of proof of joint accounts, etc from current and pics from 1997 to 2012. We have 3 kids together also age 3 months to 6 years old. So those early beginning proofs shouldn't matter so much right? I did send a few hand written letters and emails from 1997 though. I am ready to send my app...but going to do it fri cause husnand is off that day and can help w/the kids while I send it.

Probably sufficient. Granted I haven't been officially accepted yet, but I did not submit any either due to lack of having them as well. My wife and I avoided long distance charges like the plague by using VoIP, IM, email, etc. and so we submitted some of those logs instead, where we could (my VoIP system doesn't call log). Just send whatever you've got!

My husband and I hardly call each other on the phone. We either text or use Skype since it's free. I'd explain why you don't have phone bills and like g-man said, just use what you have!

Phone records and plane tickets are often used as proof of relationship because they're common proofs for long distance couples to have. However, neither is actually required. You've been living together for over a decade and hav three kids, so your proofs will be different than a couple that hasn't lived together yet.

However, if you do want to submit phone records and plane tickets, you probably have both in some form.

Local calls/texts?
"Hey I'll be late getting home, I got a flat tire"
"Walmart is huge, where are you?"
etc

Plane tickets to family? If you've visited each other's parents or had family visit you, you can include those tickets as well.

But you probably have things like car insurance with each other, joint phone plans, joint leases/mortgage, bank accounts, and your children, all of which are also useable as proof :D

We didn't include phone records because there were none. We Skype all the time. We explained that it was to expensive to call one another using a landline when we could chat through Skype, MSN & GoogleTalk. They accepted it because my hubby is picking up his visa April 18th.

All the best to you :)

It doesn't matter. You have better proof than long distance phone calls. Call logs/emails/IMs, etc., are usually needed to show communication between people who while in a relationship live apart. A couple who has been living together for 12 years will have other kinds of proof and will not need the phone bills and emails. If you've got some from long ago, include them, but they are not necessary in your case.

Oh my gosh, you guys are making me so excited that I will be going back to live in my hometown again soon. It's been a dream to move back for a decade honestly! One of the photos I included was a pic of me just after my csection in the operating room holding my baby w/ my husband's arm around the baby too w/ his scrubs on and smiling to the camera...and I am still laying on the operating table, all hooked up to the IV still, lol. They can't deny that one, lol. I feel so much better now knowing that it's ok that I don't have the plane ticket stubs and the phone bills. yes, I also included our joint bank accounts, insurance cards for auto and rental, as well as health...electric bill, joint tax filings, children's birth certificates, etc...I feel so close to moving now!!...eventhough our goal is to move in the summer of 2013. That way our oldest son can finish the school year before we move.
