Hi All,
Applied for my Indian Police clearance in Indian consulate(through VFS). Its more than 8 weeks now :'(. No signs of PCC, when I inquiry they are saying it will take time. Does any one know what should I do to get PCC quickly? Or does consulate give Information not found certificate?
If I dont get PCC, Any other alternatives for PR?
Thanks

As per my understanding , if your Indian address belongs to any village or town which is in very interior area, it takes time to get confirmation from there otherwise normally it takes only 5 days.you can keep track with VFS guys.

same with me... 5th week going on.... Usually they send it early within 1 week but I have not received it till now. VFS guys say its takes 6 weeks maximum. So I am hoping I'll receive it soon. I have heard that incase your passport is made in Canada or India, it does not take long time but incase its made in country other these two (i.e. my case), then it takes long time... but 8 weeks in your case is too long. Was your Indian passport issued in India/Canada or a different country? Do let me know when you receive it. thanks

It happened with one of my friend also. He submit his application 3 days after me, i got it in 7 days, and he got his after 2 months. The reason they give to him is that, he stayed in two different places in India, thats why its taking time, which is kinda weird.

I applied 2 times for different reason and i got it in a week and he also 2 applied 2 times, and he got his after almost 2 months.

it doesnt make sense to me.. I stayed almost 5 different places which are also in 3 different states. My wife stayed whole life in one single location. I applied for both at the same time...... I got both at the same time......after 4 weeks 3 days.

Be patient and keep waiting....

I agree with you, but this is the reason given by Indian Consulate Officials, not by me. I'm just writing what I've been told for my friend. For my case also i lived in 3 separate states and i got it in 7 days only.

@Rajanna, any update on your PCC? did you receive it? I have not received it till now. 6th week has started for me.
Pls confirm.

thanks

it varies from place to place.
best option is to bribe the govt officials. i am sorry to say, but thats the ugly fact.. its a lot faster. i got mine in 1 day by bribing for 1500 rs. the govt SLA is 21 working days. i wud have lost my onsite opportunity had i waited that long.

Lol, that best option is i guess the worst option. Sorry.

Rajanna, you should go to their office and ask them about it. They might give you some idea that when you gonna get ur PCC. All the best :)

Guys,

Just to let you all know that I applied for the Indian PCC on Aug 8th and the tracker shows dispatched to VFS today (Aug 16) ...so i guess it should be ready for pick up tomorrow (Aug 17).

PCC not submiteed along with the application...

Hi guys

I just want to know that i didnt submitted PCC along with the application since i am applying from India.I've also got my AOR.Now i am confused related to submission of my PCC.Should i submit it now or should i wait for Visa officer to ask me for it...thanks and gud luk 2 ol

@aaad, if you have your PCC and you have your file no. since you have received the PCC, you can always send it now itself.

@Rajanna, any update on your PCC? I am completing 6 weeks today. Yesterday spoke to VFS Brampton office and they asked me to call tomorrow i.e. Saturday to check the status. (Online its still showing "In -process").
