No File # in PPR letter from New Delhi

Hello everyone,

I have received a letter from New Delhi today which states that they have created a file and the file number as indicted above (in the letter), however there was no file # in the letter whatsoever. It has just got a UCI # and Application #. I have already sent the passport to New Delhi today though.

Can someone (with same issue) please reply?? It is sort of panicking. I will really appreciate if someone did reply ASAP.

the no which is written against Application starting from alphabet F and including numeric digits is ur file no.....so dont panic

Thank you for replying. If the # infront of application is the file # than how come I am not able to check my status online with that number?

does ur e cas shows in process" yet???if not then until it changes to in process it will not show status with file no....................hope this helps..........n u can share ur timeline if u wish

If i type my Application # : F********* in ECAS than the following pops up:

We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:

Please be sure the information you entered is correct and then try again.
This service is only available to clients with applications in process. We may have received your application but not yet begun processing it. The following link may help you determine if your application is being processed:

If i type my UCI # (which is actually my client id no.) than the following pops up (there is nothing; underlined screen, there on the screen which i can click on):

If you want to see the details of an application, click on the underlined status.

31 Aug 2010 - Missi. received application
24 sept - sponsorship approved
9 Dec - PPR letter from ND
20 Dec - received PPR letter
21 Dec - PP sent to Delhi

Thank you so much. Its really sweet of you. I just have one more thing to ask you. My medical is about to expire on 13th feb. I was wondering if I do not receive the visa before this than what can probably be the next thing? And if I receive the visa and if its only a week remaining for the medical to expire than will they ask me to redo it or how it works? I am just clueless.
