no clue about feb 2008-28th Nov 2008 applicants

hi,

i check this forum regularly but i dont see a single timeline for the period after 27th feb 2008, to 28th november 2008. I wonder where have all these people vanished ...
does someone know any one who applied during this time period and got any update in their case.... what happened to these applications..?

although mine is still in process and waiting for Med. request. however, the NOC i applied under was not on the list but I changed it after 1 year of no responce and no hope, to financial manager. and this year chc london contacted us. i have no clue how long it will take and what will happen next.

I applied feb. 2008 and i have not heard any recent update inregards to my file. I sent in all documents requested in Jan. 2009 and since then its been silence. i enquired in june 2011 se ethe repsonse below.
Immigration Canada is working to closely manage arrivals in Canada, so that we meet the immigration levels plan set by the government last fall for 2011. Since we have an extensive inventory of applications than room within the immigration plan for admissions to Canada, we are not in a position to finalise your application at this time.

thants strange normally in such cases they refund the fee paid by applicant and refuse but this is really unusual .. on hold after requesting doc .. never heard of it. what was your occupation and which VO u applied in?

oh so you uplied under old rules ... thats why they are delaying your application

they will surely consider your application for immigration but your precessing time would be very slow like all old cases or may be early next year they'll finalize your case

Applied at Kingston, Jamaica VO. Under the old rules my husband was the principal applicant occupation administrator. I dont know if the response mean they are not processing anymore applicants for this year or what

Indeed it is somewhat puzzling to ascertain what has happened to applications for 2008 and prior to that period. I applied through the Visa office in Trinidad in 2007 and until now I have only recieved the AOR. I applied through the Attorney of this blog but i am not sure what is happening. Since my initial application , the waiting time has changed from 36-55months.

Do you think that things will soon progrees? I need your inputs.

Just AOR not even a request for documents, well i read that all the backlog from that period should be cleared by 2012 so hopefully things will pick up close to the end of the year.

I pray that things will pick up. It such a challenge when you cant' plan definitively for your family for such a long period of time and what is sad is that the waiting time continues to grow longer and longer..

I am June 2008 applicant and I submitted my full application in Buffalo. Then my file got transferred to Seattle in March 2009..After that I got document request in september 2010..then I got Medical request alongwith RRPF, updated PCC form India and Birth certifciate request in July 2011...I did my medicals in july 2011 and then on 31 August 2011, I got an e mail from Seattle office to send birth certificate for me and my spouse again as I only sent in Class 10 certificate as a proof of birth. But now they want me to send original borth certficate for me and my spouse..currently I am working on getting our BC from India which is a very tedious process...The seattle office gave me 30 days time...

Yes you are right...there is no where mention about these cases...I also got an e mail in March 2011 that CIC is working closely to manage the arrivals in Canada and that they are not in a position to assess my application but suddenly the office sent me the MR...so be hopeful and stay positive....

thats a positive thing .. it means the cases are not dumped and cic is working on them i am also waiting for medical request and hoping to get it soon. i think we should ignore the e mail responses because they look like same for everyone and also no one knows about our timeline thats bcuz we are simply stuck in the middle of no where so hope for the best

By the looks of things persons that applied between 2006-2008 finally look like they are starting to process those applicants. As im reading diffrent posts and noticing persons getting medical requests, so thats a good sign. So we just have to keep praying and keep our fingers crossed that things will end soon .
