Hi i need to know .. does canada and newzealand share criminal records with each other .. as i have lived in newzealand for 5 years and i had fight charger against me .. now my wife is in canada on student visa and i want to apply for my work visa ... do i have to mention my newzealand convictions?

Yes, NZ is a member of the Five Eyes agreement on information sharing , any non disclosure of your convictions could be cause for refusal . But I’d first do some research to see if your conviction makes you inadmissible into Canada to begin with, because If you’re inadmissible, applying for a work visa would be fruitless unless you go thru additional steps to make yourself admissible

Assume that most countries will share convictions with each other during a background check. Not declaring a conviction is potentially worse than what the conviction was for - you'd be banned for five years even if the conviction itself didn't make you criminally inadmissible.
