I have a permanent residence permit and just got married last month.
I currently reside outside canada with my new wife.
would love her to move with me to canada.
can we go ahead with the application or wait till i'm resident in canada.

I believe you will have to move back to Canada and sponsor from there if your a PR.

Yes - since you are a PR (rather than a citizen) you can only submit a sponsorship application from within Canada. You must also continue to live in Canada for however long it takes to process the application.

Also be aware that your wife may not be granted a TRV to enter Canada.

thanks all. also will she have to change her international passport to reflect my name or use supporting documents such as our marriage cetificate to show she has changed her name.

thank you

The passport has to be in the same name used on the application forms and the PR card will be issued in the same name as the passport. If she wants to change her name, she will have to get a new passport before submitting it.

Have you landed in Canada as a PR yet?

its been a while.
I finally landed in 2013 and my wife got a visa to visit.
I have a daughter now and she has visited me with my daughter a few times.
she is currently visiting now and we plan to submit forms as an inland and include forms for an open work permit.
I will like to confirm how much we will pay as I'm applying for my spouse and daughter.
also are there forms my 3 year old daughter needs to fill.

thank you

Why was your daughter not included in your original PR application? In that case she would have received PR at the same time as you. Unless she is step-daughter?

Also even through you weren't married, did you live with your spouse for 1 year or longer before you landed in Canada as PR in 2013?

If you want to sponsor them now, the application fees will come to $1,190. Then your wife and daughter will also need to get medical exams, and your wife police certificates and getting documents translated/notarized, etc. These costs depend on where you go, but will add several hundred more dollars.
