Newbie... Wondering when to expect to hear something??

Hi everyone!

I'm a Canadian and my son is American born but all has his Canadian citizenship. I filed for my husband whom is an American citizen to sponsor him. I sent the docs nov 20.. I know there is the case processing time guideline.. But is it possible to hear from them at all?. I never received anything since sending the application

I applied outside canada for him.. I live in canada

Stage 1 processing as of today is taking 50 days and they are working on Application received till 7th November.Please see the link below..so you should be hearing from CIC within a 1-2 weeks ...Good luck

If you are just concerned whether they have received your application you can check it's status via E-CAS on the CIC website. At the moment you would need to use the receipt number for your fee payment (IMM 5401). Once you are approved as a sponsor you will be sent your UCI (tracking number) which you can use instead.

Otherwise there are specific threads for each month of sponsorship- so you can look for the November thread and see the timelines other people are currently experiencing.

You will find us other November applicants posting in a thread called "November 2012 Applicants Unite!". You will be able to monitor how others are progressing there. You can also post a request to be added to the November spreadsheet if you wish.
