Hello Everyone.

Just today I have decided to seriously start the application process for immigration to Canada as a skilled worker. But I quickly found out that I am not eligible with the new FSW eligibility requirements.

I am a 30 years old Lebanese man. I have completed my BS degree in computer science in 2003 and MBA degree in 2008. I have 9 years of experience working as a systems analyst in the financial sector.

I am married with no children so far. My wife has a law degree and has been working as a lawyer for 1 year now.

In my own mind, I though we would be perfect candidates for an immigration visa, but it turns out that neither of our jobs is currently on the FSW list.

Does that mean that all hope is gone ?

Hope is not lost. If you can get a job offer that has been approved (Canadian government is convinced you have not taken a job that could be done by a Canadian ) then you can apply for a work permit or if the job is in skill level OAB then you came come under FSW even if position is not in the new NOC list. Learn all you can about Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee Programme as well. Good luck.

But isn't finding a job as a foreigner very hard ? Any hints or tips ?

Also, can you provide some details on the province nominee ?
