New born's PR application

Hi,

Me and my wife are Canadian PR holders, but our 6-month-old twins are not as they were born outside Canada. My wife and kids are in our native country right now. I am planning to sponsor my kids' PR so that they can travel along with my wife. I am under the impression that my wife cant co-sign the application since she is not residing in Canada right now. Is this assumption right? Also, is there any form in the application which requires her signature?

I would definitely have her write a notarized original signed statement that she agrees/approves of the application either way. I am not sure about a particular form. Have you tried emailing the Canadian government to ask? It doesnt hurt
