Hello everyone!! After my husband's 13 month PR application we're back and getting ready to file for Citizenship for him. I figured with a 24 month average wait and his PR card good until Oct 2016, best to start now.
I started doing our homework and found the online calculator for the number of days he's been in Canada. We've discovered that he can file this Friday on July 4th (I get a kick out of this since he's from the US).
I just want to make sure we aren't missing anything important. I found the guide online and we need to provide:
-sheet showing calculation of days in Canada
-copy of immigration docs/PR card
-copy of his degree from college in California
-photocopies of pages out of his US passport
-photocopy of 2 pieces of ID
-2 photos
-and money
in addition to filling out the form.
So far seems a little less scary after going through PR. Here's hoping it isn't as painful as that was.
