My option c print out is for 2011 , and my 2012 tax return wont be processed until march and i still dont have my t4's yet....
but i am wondering what I should put for my net income , DOES IT HAVE TO BE EXACT?!

I can go through my bank history from feb 2012 until feb 2013 and aprox see how much income i earned
ex. 30.000 but it wouldnt be the EXACT number such as for example 31,196.89

what should i do?

THANKS!!

Just explain - CIC knows that the T4 are not ready. So include the one for 2011, and include a calculation of your net income for 2012 and explain how you came to the result - and it should be fine. CIC wants to see that you are not on welfare, and that you are employed / or not likely to go on welfare when sponsoring your family.
Good luck,

We had the same situation. I'm pretty sure you can get a record of your previous income from your employer, if not, you could calculate the average hours you worked per week and multiply it to your hourly rate (assuming you get paid per hour). I did the gross amount. I just realize it should be the net amount, hopefully it will not be that of a big deal. :-X For the Option-C, I submitted my 2011 and made a letter which says why I can't provide the 2012 yet, which is the same reason as yours.

PS: try to check you pay slip if it says the YTD (year to date) amount of your income, it might help.

ok thanks so much, i will attach a note explaining why. Also for the document checklist when you check off your option c, there are a bunch of boxes below to be checked off regarding employment and proof of other income, i am currently not employed and i dont make other income, so do i leave those boxes blank?

ye s- if it doesn't apply to you, leave it blank. if it's a box where you can add text ( in other forms) then put N/A or none as instructed by the guideline
