My 2nd line has not yet been updated. I expect it around end March or early April. I am not sure about background checks. They might start once my 2nd line gets updated.

Hey Guys! Long time no see!
Real tragic situation at our country. Hope you all are safe.
CIC has addressed the situation and has facilitated the Nepalese with priority processing. Below is the link. All you need is follow the instructions. I have mailed them and got reply within 24 hours saying that my case will be in priority. But this applies only if you are affected in some way by the earthquake.

Suresh ji,
Could you plz give some clues how you addressed the effect of earthquake in the content of email you sent to CIC?
In my case,my resident was also damaged and we all are spending nights under the open sky.
Your elaboration on the issue will be appreciated.

Hello subash sir,
I told them the truth about the situation, i also had to sleep inside tent for five days. Write them about your situation clearly and you will get positive feedback. But as i see your timeline, since you are already done with medicals, its only a matter of a week or so for PPR. Anyway, you can give it a try.

Suresh ji,

I have emailed them stating the effect of earthquake which resulted in homeless for my family but I have a doubt if they need any kind of supportive documents to verify what I have claimed.Have they requested something to you for the same?

Time lines on the left, CPC Ottawa VO , NOC 2281 , waiting for MR :(

No, they wont request anything to prove the case. Right now, almost every Nepalese citizen is affected by the disaster. Every applicant will get faster processing if they write an email and explain the condition.

Thank you again for taking time to respond over my query.
