hello there, After a three-year wait, I recently received my PR; I've been married to my wife for five years; we've been together for more than seven years; and we have children together. I have a major problem; my relationship with her has been deteriorating for the past two years. I don't get along with her mother or anyone on her mother's side we basically have been fighting none stop, but I'm best friends with her father (her parent are divorced).

She and her mother have been asking me to leave for years (we've been living together for 6 years), and now that I'm a permanent resident, she wants us to file for divorce . My question is, will this have any impact on the permanent resident I just received? If we divorce so soon after receiving my PR, will it have any impact on my citizenship application when I decide to apply in a few years? Also, if I decide to remarry and sponsor someone from outside of Canada, or invite someone from outside of Canada to come visit me, do you think the divorce will have an impact?

There shouldn't be any impact to your PR since your relationship is certainly genuine based on the info provided. You will need to separate for a full year before you can file for divorce. You won't be able to sponsor a partner until five years have passed since you landed and became a PR.

yes I know but we get seperated just 2 months after I get my PR, wont it have a negative look on my application if I sponsor someone from outside the country in 5yrs time (I have no plans of doing that now but just asking just in case)

Your subsequent relationship / sponsorship may be scrutinized more carefully by IRCC. However you've been married a number of years and have kids. This looks like a relationship gone wrong rather than a marriage of convenience. Of course I'm not IRCC and can't guarantee how they will view this.
