Hello I am a PR residing in Canada. My parents are visiting later this year on visitor visa, they were approved for multiple entry visa till passport expiry.

Do they need to have a round-trip ticket and will officer ask for proof of ticket? They have visited US and Europe many times on tourist visa and returned everytime. Round trip ticket is very expensive currently and they are not sure if should return from Toronto or after visiting their family in US side.

Highly likely they will need a return ticket. Most likely it will be the airline that demands a return ticket before they will allow boarding.

The latter part is definitely not true for Air-India at least ... they required nothing I know because someone I know just arrived without a return ticket :)

They should have round trip tickets if they are traveling on regular TRVs. Higher chance of running into issues with only one way tickets.

Were they travelling on a TRV and were they parents of a PR or citizen as well? Can’t just compare anyone travelling to Canada
