Hello everyone!

I am currently in the process of finishing up my paperwork for my immigration sponsoring of a spouse forms and I have some questions.

1) Through out all of the forms, I see, "Use extra sheet of paper if needed" on a handful of questions. This might be a dumb question but... what does this exactly mean? Do they want me to use an extra sheet of paper and start off where left off on the main form? Or should I put my entire answer on the new sheet of paper? Once I have the sheet of paper where do I attach it within the forms?

2)What is the basic order you should put your package in? I see that you put the checklist on top of the forms and you also put the barcode pages on the top. Where can I find the correct order that I need to put all of the forms in?

Thank you anyone that helps me out. :3 I might have more questions down the road and I will post them here, hehe.

Thank you for your reply! :)

Just to double check, I write my answer on the form. If I need more room to write, I use a blank paper and I continue my answer from the form to the blank paper.

And, when it comes to the order of my entire application, checklist goes on top then all barcode pages then form?

The guide I am using is: Sponsor your spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner or dependent child Complete Guide (IMM 5289)

Another question... :-[

When looking at the checklist (the check list I am looking at is IMM 5533 E) on the last page it says, "One (1) document from three (3) of the following sets of options:" When reading through all of the options, my spouse and I really only qualify for one of them. We have never lived together so no need to do join ownership of residential property. Because we don't live together we don't have a join account in our utilities. We don't have important documents of my spouse and I sharing the same address because we live separately and can't think of a reason why we would have this. Neither one of us have each other on our health plans from work since we live apart.

Not really sure what to do for this section since I need to be able to show three of the six options. Hope someone could help me out. Thank you in advance.

unfortunately, since this is a new requirement for applications, no one really knows what to do if you don't have all the requirements. here are my recommendations until we know how it will unfold as applications get processed:

1. go to the family sponsorship thread and see if anything written there for what others are doing.
2. see if any of the required documents can be retrieved (adding each other as beneficiaries, benefit packages, bank accounts, etc).if these items can not be done because of specific bank/insurance rules, ask for a written explanation from them and include it in your package.
3. send a well written letter of explanation as to why you can not produce these things - for example: you don't live together and therefore don't share utility bills. Providing ways you do support each other financially (if you do) can be helpful or explain your plans for joining finances upon approval.

it will be difficult to determine what they expect from couples who don't live together until we start seeing the new application play out. it seems IRCC wants couples to do more legwork upfront now.
