Hi , Me and my husband are currently in the US .We applied on FSW category .Selected buffalo as visa office . Now we may have to go back this november 2012 to our coutry for family reasons . When shall we inform the visa office about our move ?What will posiibly happen ?Will they shift the file to new coutrys visa office or keep it in process here and we will have to come on some visit visa here for medicals etc.
Please advise and guide on the usual procedure . My time line is below and we are headed back to Pakistan.

got eligibility review complete email on :April 11, 2011
Emailed the buffalo office this april15, 2012 for info they replied that our file is in process.
what is the expected timeline ?
when to inform them about moving to pakistan?
what is the usual procedure we should epect after informing of our move?
Will appreciate any advise or guidance , I am new to the forum but it seems people get good guidance here ,

I'll try answering some of your questions.

Yes - you should notify Buffalo once you have a new address in Pakistan so that they can send any correspondence to you there.

No - then will not move the file to a different visa office. It will stay with the Buffalo VO.

You can have your medical in Pakistan. If an interview is required, it will be held in Buffalo. Also, your passports will have to be submitted to Buffalo for visa stamping.

It seems worrisome if interview is needed to go to buffalo vo from pakistan .
If this happens is there another option to it like can we request them to iv in pakistan ?

Once u update ur current residence with ur VO and also notify ur inability to attend elsewhere - they might hold the interview, if required, at another location - nearest to ur current resid.
