Hi there!

my situation is, i have obtained a working visa as a caregiver, but my employer backed-out because she no longer need my service. I managed to find a new employer and now i have a new lmo and employers contract. can i get my work permit upon entry to canada using my working visa from my previous employer and new lmo ,contract from my new employer? or do i need to redo all the application process from the start?

im worried if go to the port of entry officer and show my new lmo and contract and theyll see on their records that it is diffrent from the one i submitted.

and also about work permit, how does it work, they will only make my permit when im at the port of entry officer or theyll just print and give it to me?

sorry for my english! thank you for your time!

You cannot obtain an LCP work permit at the border. You need to redo the application process from the start like you did the first time.

thanks scylla, just what i thought.. i got confused coz i asked my girlfriend to call their cust. supp hotline. 2 of the agent told her that i can still get my permit, and visa is not attached to a specific employer. and 1 of the agent said i need to redo all the process. geezz

one thing is for sure that i can still use my work visa but i dont know if it the same goes for my work permit :(

Your work permit is attached to a specific employer. You cannot use it to work for a different employer. If you do that, you will be working illegally which means you can be removed from Canada.
