Hello Everyone,

I have been in Canada since 2005 as both an international student and a professional worker. I have no applied to my PR duo to many reasons (international scholarship, employment...etc).
I have both my masters' and PhD from McGill University in Montreal. My bachelor in engineering is from a Canadian university however it was in another country (a branch of the university)
My wife is a Canadian citizen (married 1 year, together in common-law 6 years), we have shared custody over her son
My question is the following:
Which program should I apply under?
The inland family sponsorship requires 28 months to process, it doesn't seem appealing at all.
The EE program which look very promising is hard to understand, do i qualify for it? would I need to take language tests even though I have completed all my degree from a Canadian accredited university?

Any other options for me to apply under?

Thank you so much for any help you may be able to provide

Sincerely,

You could also apply outland under family class. Depending on your nationality, that could be quite quick.

I am not familiar with EE, so I would suggest checking out the EE section of the forum for more information.

Yes - you would have to take an English test if you apply under EE. Doesn't matter where you graduated from. It's mandatory.

I can apply for outland while being in Canada and working in Canada? I dont mind the travel for a potential interview

@Scylla

Thank you! I will sign up for one :)

Yes. If you read the inland guide, it says the same thing. Applicants can apply to a visa office abroad to take advantage of the faster processing times. Interviews are not usually required. When they are, it's for those who have red flags or criminality issues. Your case seems fairly straightforward, so I would not expect an interview.
