Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
hello dear friends
I 've got a dilemma on my hand . I wanna cancel my agent and I read some where in this forum that some guys mother-in-law sent letters to VO telling lies and giving proofs to disturb the sponsorship application/ make them believe that the marriage is fake ( she had her reasons doing so)

now I m sure if I cancel my immigration agent, she would get mad and she might try to hurt my case some how ,
Do VO's consider letters or any input from other people than Me( sponsor) or my wife?

cheers

Re: Need your help.... please

Why are you of the opinion your agent would try to sabotage your processing because he/she is relieved of their duties to act on your behalf? If you have paid him/her according to the terms of your agreement, then severing the contract is a simple matter of applying whatever terms there are for you to do so. He/she should have no personal stake in the success/failure of your application (aside from professional pride), and if they did what they were paid for, their work on your behalf should stand on its own and need no further explanation from them to CIC if you rescind their obligation to act.

Re: Need your help.... please

actually our contract isn't over yet , I paid half of the money upfront , the rest is due when my wife gets the visa. I am really unsatisfied with her work and the way they made me pay for option c( $500) , which is a free service , and them being rude ,lack of knowledge , ...

I don't want them to be on my case anymore but we got a contract , that's why I 'm confused . They haven't done anything up to this point except sending the applications to cic-miss .

If cancel them as my agent with respect to cic, could they jeopardize my case?

Re: Need your help.... please

There is a reason I don't deal with agents, no matter if they are certified. Unlike lawyers who have a code of ethics they must abide with or risk losing their licence, agents can pretty much go rogue. That said, if you have not committed fraud or misrepresentation, they should not have anything to use against you. If I was in your shoes, I will cancel them as my agent and get confirmation from cic first before telling him/her and give reasons why. You can negotiate what is still owing.

Not true. Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants also have a code of ethics they are required to uphold. What you cannot factor is a person's own moral code. That is the only TRUE test of someone's ethics. There are plenty of crooked lawyers out there who are just as bad. A liar is a liar, no matter how many initials they have after their name or the number of degrees hanging on their walls. You know, most politicians are lawyers. Just sayin'... :P

I made a mistake hiring one since I thought my case would be complex , ( cause of OSAP loan)
unfortunately I found Canada visa forum after hiring them .
I could have done things using your help, it would have been like a walk in a park.

the thing is that I'm not certain about the exact content of what they 've sent to CIC.

I 'm real confused now.
???

I need to talk to a lawyer . Does any of u know a lawyer member in this forum I could get a legal advise from ? I got a copy of contract I could send to 'em .

thanx

I could try to threaten them saying I would file a complaint with CIC in case they attempt to do anything stupid with regards of my case .

what do u think?
