Unless you are a manager or a supervisor - it's unlikely a job at Walmart will lead to PR. You should be looking for skilled jobs (NOC A, B or 0) - or trades.

So will jobs like working as a sales associate with a large firm or by being a manager/supervisor with a small firm make me eligible for a PR.

These types of jobs should help you to qualify for PR - but there are other requirements you will have to meet and having this type of job alone won't guarantee PR. You'll need to spend time familiarizing yourself with the application criteria for Canada's immigration programs to understand what requirements you will need to apply.
