Hi Guys...
I am in Canada right now. I came to Canada in Jan'13 term.. Now I'm planning to apply for US Tourist VISA as brother is graduating in USA this year. I want to know do we need to submit any documents before VISA interview (because in India we have to submit the documents to VFS 3 days before US VISA interview) or simply take all the required documents directly to US Consulate on the VISA interview date. DO we need to go to US Consulate in Toronto for VISA interview ...

How to pay the VISA fees online..
Also what about the Photo.. The photo will be taken at Consulate or we need to upload in DS-160..

Can anyone guide me through this..

Seriously need help

In my experience (at Vancouver but i suppose its the same procedure in Toronto)

you fill out the application online and have to upload a digital photo during application. Once you submit your application, you will probably have to book an appointment in advance. The application fee has to be prepaid. Can't remember if you can use a credit card but you can pay at a scotiabank branch.

You will need to take all the documents on your appointment and present IF asked. Take your bank statements, school records etc.

another thing, not sure if its the same in toronto but better be prepared if it is, do not take anything like a cellphone, computer etc with you. they did not allow those things at the consulate in vancouver. Only take your passport, documents and ID's etc. no bags.

I had to run and pay 5$ to a store to store them for me.

at the interview, they ask basic questions (you may or may not get extra grilled) but you need to know where you are going, for how long, how, etc. They will take your finger prints, your passport and usually tell you right away if your visa has been approved or not.

Good Luck

Hi Guys,
sorry if I am posting in the wrong discussion but I found it a bit relevant to my case.
I would like to know if anyone have got RECENTLY a visa from Toronto consulate. I want to have an idea about the processing times after the visa approval.
Thank you for your help!
