Hi everyone,

I have a couple of questions and appreciate your thoughts! I’ve just received an invitation under CEC.
1. I do have a Canadian Master’s degree for which I didn’t get any points due to a mistake I made by answering a question wrong in my Express Entry profile, which means my real points should be 15 points higher than the one based on which I received the invitation. I amended the mistake in my PR application and it’s good now. Now, my question is whether this might be sth the officer reject me for because they think I gave wrong info in my Express Entry application???

2. My husband didn’t get any points for this job experience in Canada and in our home country. In my Express Entry application I gave the system his whole work history during past 10 years, however, he received 0 points for that. My question is whether we should submit any of his employment proof such as employment reference letter despit the fact he got 0 for his work experience! I mean, should we submit any proof for sth we didn’t get any points for??

Your help is so much appreciated!

1. You will not be rejected because of it. Explain your mistake in a letter of explanation.

2. Are you sure he didn’t get any points for Canadian work experience? Why didn’t he? If you are sure, you can delete his work history form the work experience section and put it into the personal history section only. You will not be asked for proof of the work experience if you do this.
Hi,
Thanks for getting back! I’ll explain it in my LOE then! Regarding my husband’s work experience, my understanding is that because his job category fits into NOC C, it’s not considered a skilled job, and then the system didn’t give him any points for that. But his experience in my home country is a skilled job, but the system gave him 0 for that as well!
