Hello,
I want advise to a problem with my friend niece. She was married in 2010 with a Canadian gay in my home country. The husband spend almost 1 year with my friend niece and when her delivery date near he came back Canada, (my friend niece pregnant in that time)A beautiful girl was born.Since than the husband did not show any interest to sponsor his wife (Daughter automatic Canadian Citizen) and also no to complete his daughter paperwork (her citizenship card and passport). My friend and her niece are very depress and don't know what they do,so please please can someone give me good and proper advice so I tell her.I waiting response. If there any mistake in my writing sorry in advance. :(

The daughter is likely a Canadian citizen. We would need to know more about her father to confirm (i.e. was he born in Canada).

Unfortunately there's really nothing the wife can do if her husband doesn't want to sponsor her for PR. It's his decision if he wants to submit the sponsorship application or not.

If the wife wants to come to Canada and her husband is not going to sponsor her, then unfortunately her only option is to investigate how she can come independently / on her own. If she can find an employer in Canada, then coming on a work permit might be one option. If she has a profession, she can also investigate if she qualifies to apply as an immigrant.

thank you for ur reply. Her husband is not born in Canada he came on skilled worker immigration and than got Citizenship but I know that her daughter is Canadian Citizen because on the CIC web site and some my friends told me that if one parent is Canadian Citizen the child born outside Canada is automatic Canadian Citizen.Only they need registered the child for citizenship Card

Yes - you're right. In this case, as long as the father became a citizen before his daughter was born - the daughter is automatically a citizen as well.

Unfortunately this still doesn't help the mother's situation.
