To start off.... My wife and I went through everything that you guys are going through, feeling, etc...I know it's tough just be patient. There is an end.

My friend is getting married shortly. He is Canadian, his wife to be American and looking to apply for her PR Card. I figured as part of their wedding gift that I would gather all of their forms for them...BUT... I notice the way the forms are located in different spots or under different names, etc

Can someone help me and navigate me to get them all the correct forms.. Thanks guys:)

My advice is "don't". This is important stuff with emotion, feeling, anger, anxiety.... , you should show them to go to www.cic.gc.ca to apply "outland" and this forum instead.

Hey there, just advice them to attach originals of PCC and medicals before they submit anything....

Most important docs that people tend to miss...i am on of them..cheers

This is a really sweet gesture, but I kind of agree with greenoil. I think part of going through this process is the emotional aspect. Perhaps you can give them a little bit of cash to put toward immigration fees, and a whole lot of support to help them through the process. Lucky for them, they have someone to turn to for advice since you've been through it before.

If you still decide to go ahead with your plan, I would avoid gathering them by physically printing them out.. as one member recently filled the forms out by hand and the application was returned because one form in particular needs to be validated by typing it out, which generates a page full of bar codes. Maybe instead, put together an email with links to the forms and guidelines and helpful suggestions that will make the application go a little smoother.

Are they applying inland or outland? Here are the lists of forms needed for each application:

Inland: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp
Outland: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

Thanks guys,

Ya I was planning on just putting together an email for them, all the forms are fillable so i figured it would be easier that way...
