My Job Description is as below which comes under title of Senior Lab Technician in my organization.
- Support single or multi stage medium sized projects, delivering to the required standards and agreed time-scales, including designing research to meet objectives, to produce good quality, actionable data.
- Conduct statistical analysis and interpretation of sensory data, reporting (verbal and written) findings and recommendations to project teams, ensuring data consistency and validity.
- Partnering with R&D teams, determining and applying appropriate sensory tools like Quantitative descriptive analysis to deliver project objectives, designing sensory trials using sensory software
- Perform assigned aspects of projects including descriptive panel leadership, screener development, ballot/questionnaire development, sample preparation, and other project tasks as assigned
- Identify relationships and trends in descriptive panel data, as well as any factors that could affect the panel performance
- Analyzing sensory quantitative data providing considered reporting, interpretation and recommendations for discussion with the Project Leader
- Report results of statistical analyses, including information in the form of graphs, charts, and tables.
- Lead all aspects of consumer research both qualitative and quantitative including the integration/linking of descriptive and consumer data into a cohesive story.
