Hi guys, I want to apply for a college in Niagara Falls as an international student. (I am a US citizen and I heard that I don't need a visa since I just need to have my passport, although, I'm not sure how that works in terms of getting a multiple entry visa or having a long term stay.) I'm not sure if that's the best choice for me. I want to start attending by January 2020 (assuming that I have enough money by the last few months of 2019 to pay for the tuition as well as showing proof that I have enough money to support my own living too).
However, I'm not sure if that's the best thing to do. I primarily want to go to Canada to live with my girlfriend who's also going to become an international student soon. Both of us currently live in different countries and really wish to live together there. I thought that being a student is the fastest/most convenient way to do it. However, I still need to have enough money to qualify.
Is there another option I have that allows me to be in canada within the next 9 months? My goal is to be in Canada during the beginning of January 2020. I'd like to get a job offer instead, but I heard that finding a job in Canada while being in another country is tough. (I also won't have a year's worth of work experience or more by then.)
Please help if you can, I really appreciate it.
