Need help with dependent and additional family information _ PLEASE HELP

Dear Friends,

I need some expertise in filling out some forms under the CEC. These forms are mainly IMM 008DEP - Additional Dependants/Declaration and additional family information IMM 5406.
the requirement in the forms asks us to populate the family information - "whether they are accompanying or not ".

In my case, I am the only person seeking immigration and none of my family members are accompanying me. Do I need to fill out this form?
Also the IMM 5406 has pretty much information related to my family, they will not be accompanying me. I guess I still need to fill out this form, correct ?

WHat should be done here ? Please provide some guidance ,

Hi

IMM 0008DEP is only required if you have more than 5 dependents (dependents are spouse and children).

IMM 5406 is definitely required and must be filled out in FULL.

Dependants will generally be classed as Spouse or Children. Parents, Grandparents etc are not classed as dependants.

If you’re Spouse or Children are not accompanying you then you will need to explain why, also note that adding them later can be difficult and will delay your application.

I have seen similar posts on this forum whereby applicants do not add dependants at the initial application stage because of the initial application costs. People think they can add later on to ease the initial costs, please be aware this may not be easy and will certainly delay any application.

Thank You for your replies, In my case this is all the more complicated.
I am legally separated from my ex and the divorce is underway. So I guess I will have no dependents to fill out as I am the lone member applying for the immigration.

But I understand that I have to fill out the IMM 5406 anyway.

Is my understanding correct ?
