Guys, it's been over 60 days since I've applied for my study permit extension.

Applied: 27th July,2015
Study permit extension

The college has barred me from attending any further classes until the new study permit arrives.
I gave them the the proof that I've applied for an extension but they say they're required by law to do so.

Please advise on what can be done here. I feel humiliated by CIC for missing classes.

there is nothing you can do.
the processing time on CIC is 100days and they are working on apps received on June 9.2015.

sorry for what happened, but should have applied earlier.

Paper applications usually take longer to process unfortunately. That's why Online applications are encouraged; they're nifty, prevents dealing with unnecessary paper and have faster processing times.

Hang in there buddy!

I've applied online btw. Thank you.

As long as you have applied you can attend the classes. Show this to your college.
