hello house, please i need to know what i can do
to bring my nephew from America to Canada, he just
got his PR in America but he want to move closer to family
should we apply for a work permit? Thanks guys.

He can't just apply for a work permit. He'll need a job offer in Canada first. His employer will also likely have to obtain an LMO (labour market opinion) before he can apply for a work permit.

Either way - the first step is to find an employer in Canada who is willing to offer him a job.

Once he has a job, then next step is to determine if he qualifies under NAFTA. If he does - no LMO is required. If he doesn't qualify under NAFTA, then his employer will have to obtain an LMO.

Once he has done all of the above he can then apply for a work permit.

If he is PR in America he wont quality under NAFTA.NAFTA is for Canadian,US and Mexican Citizens....

To qualify, applicants must be American or Mexican citizens and have a job offer from a Canadian employer in one of the 63 recognized occupations under NAFTA. With the job offer, applicants must apply for a Canadian Temporary Work Permit (TN Visa). This is a fast and relatively simple way for Americans and Mexicans become engaged in the Canadian workforce...
