Hello,
I am preparing my spouse sponsorship application. I found myself confused at the form IMM5669- Background/Declaration. The guide on CIC's website stresses that any of my family members must complete and hand sign their own version of the form. Since my parents are still outside of Canada, can I sign on their behalf? If not, is there any other solution, please?
Thank you

You are sponsoring your spouse are you not and not your parents ?

Family members

An applicant’s closest relatives, in the context of an application. It is defined as a spouse or common-law partner, dependent children, and their dependent children.

See section 1(3) of the IRPR for the legal definition

I think he is confused that all members incl father mother and so on will have to fill their own form. Let me say that ONLY Applicants+ dependents who are coming to Canada need to sign. Below 18 don't have to sign. He must declare whole family here anyways but signing only as said.
