Hi guys!!

I am in India right now and I am applying for temporary resident visa from here to Canada. I have my open work permit until 2014. I am stuck on IMM5257E form Q.7. where they are asking for Current country of residence. I am little confused . Should I say Canada and status as a worker or do i need to say India (because i am in india right now which makes more sense) and then visitor as a status or citizen (because i have an indian citizenship)and then staying in india from today's date until my airticket date(when i am leaving india)... please please please help me... thanks !!!! what should be the exact dates and answer????????/

Dear Sabrina_101

you are curremtly in Indoa but for that question your answer should be Canada because you are residing in Canada and visiting Ondia for few days.

Seniors please correct if I'm wrong

I got confused. Have you been working in Canada already and are returning to resume work in Canada after visiting your home in India? Or, are you applying to come to Canada now that you have the OWP?

yes, i have been working in Canada already and just visiting India for a month. So that means I should put Canada as a country of my residence???

You should have finished your TRV hassle in Canada before leaving. FYI I doubt if you will be able to get your Visa stamped within a month, & moreover Visa people are on strike, they warned that it may take upto 3 months.. Just give heads up at your work that you may have to extend your stay in India.
Good luck..

I would agree with danny, Since your current country of residence is Canada , you should put canada.
You are just visiting India

You can include a cover letter and explain your situation for better clarity to VISA officer.
