I have nearly 4 years working in PR industry in a non-English country. I am gonna pursue a post-graduate course related to PR & Marketing either in Winnipeg or Toronto. My concern is the course duration quite short, only 8–12 months that may be disadvantaged for me to get a suitable job within 12 months without Canadian experience. It would be much tougher when PGWP is valid for 12 months only.
Some of my friends recommended me to choose Manitoba which is well-known for a good place with good immigrant policy. You only need 6-month-working experience to apply PR. The unemployment rate is rather low. However, there is limited opportunity for foreigner to find a kind of marketing jobs in Winnipeg.
My questions are below
1/Any advice for me in terms of choosing suitable place for study? Winnipeg or Toronto or anywhere else in Canada?
2/ What kind of marketing program should I pursue as a non-native English speaker? Should I continue to learn Public Relations in Canadian context or choose either digital marketing or marketing analytics?
