Remaining education in field of medical.
Now I am trying to file his case under family sponsorship before come back to Canada.
I am leaving in Canada more than 4 years and my citizenship application is in qeue.
Now I am trying to file his case under family sponsorship before come back to Canada.
I want to change her name, her name is Shazia naz before marriage .
My name is kaleem and full name is syed kaleem ahmad.
I want change her name from Shazia naz to Shazia Kaleem and put that name in her new NIC(national Identical Crad) as well as her new passport.
I share this things with my friend but he confused me , he told me don’t change her name only change her status that wife of (W/O) kaleem.
I have desire to change her name but he told me if you will change her name there is problem during equalancy of all her education certificate, because in her all certificate name mention which is old one Shazia naz.
Advise all of respected froum members specially PMM that name change will effect his Pakistani education certificate as well as if she find a job as a doctor will effect in any way.
Thank a lot!

A name change is very common after marriage. Hence a change in name would in no way affect the application. However, what you would need are the following documents:
- Your spouse's birth certificate that shows the name before marriage
- Your marriage certificate that shows you are married to your spouse (and it also contains names before marriage)
- New national ids and passports that contain new names.

A combination of these documents prove that " Shazia naz" and "Shazia Kaleem" are the same person. Be it in the eyes of CIC or any other government agencies (for "equalancy of all her education certificate").

Now this is a very interesting scenario, (and sorry I won't have the answer). The previous post is probably accurate from an 'immigration' point of view. Here's the snag . . . as I understand it, the medical profession (becoming a doctor) is one field that imposes restrictions on the changing of your name AND as I understood it, only ONCE you became a 'sworn and certified doctor'. Now you're talking about 'equalency' so I'm not sure how all that fits in but is your recommending "friend" a doctor? OR, speaking from experience? Find out why he says so, this may very well not have anything to do with "immigration" itself.

Thanks a lot for reponse "TRUEMILE" AS WELL AS "SAKAMATH".
Specailly thanks to SAKAMATH YOUR ADVISE IS VERY COMPREHENSIVE.
So what i understand that name change will not effect my wife immigration process.
Sakamath can you reconfirm it that what i understand that name change will not effect my wife immigration process.
thank all of you?
