I and my Husband has applied for FSW 2013 and received our AOR on August 2013, and then nothing! Still waiting for the MR while precious time is going by.
Anyway so we were thinking a Canadian post-grad degree will probably really help find our desired job(s) and ofcourse help us learn more. Here's a summary of our background, followed by a few questions for you all nice people out there :
- We're from Bangladesh
- Both BBA graduates with concentration in Marketing. My husband had Finance major as well.
- We're 33 and 34 years old with no children (yet)
- Our work experience include 8 to 9 years of full-time employment in the country's biggest multinational Telecom operator (Telenor's affiliate in Bangladesh), mostly in Marketing (me) department and some in Finance/Business Analysis (my husband)
Now my questions are :
- What kind of jobs can we expect to get in Toronto, Canada in our respective field - initially and later on when we have a few Canadian employers' references in our basket.
- Will it help us get better jobs if we get a Canadian post-grad degree?
- Assuming the answer is yes, which it probably is, what degree should we try to get and in which institution?
- Can we try to get a student visa and start off the degree at Canada while waiting for our MR and PR to get processed?
Sorry about too many questions but it'll really help us plan our future better if you guys can help. It's been almost 16 months since we applied and haven't even received the MR. Getting a little restless as you probably can understand
