Need help please

Hello friends
Ok this is my story,2014 I got married with a woman from my homecontry,september 2015 she arrived here,but only after three months we start having problems and she decide to return back home(honestly I was gilty for the problems),august last year we got divorced in our homecontry.
Few days ago she informed me that she is taking a lawyer here in Canada for devision of our matrimonial house(I bought the house in august 2013,before that we got married),and the house is only in my name.
My question is does she have a right to do that(to take a half of my house)?
Please any advice.

This is not an immigration issue. You need to talk to a divorce lawyer in Canada asap.

You were married and divorced in another country, so she can't sue you for divorce. You're already divorced.
IF she does have a lawyer contact you and ask for a payment or support you WILL DEFINITELY need a good lawyer.
Personally I think she's complicated her claim by finalizing a divorce before seeking a financial settlement, and she may have difficulty pressing her claim in Canada.
But that's only a GUESS. Only a Family Law practitioner can help you.
He'll have to advise you whether she can make any financial claim against you when a divorce has already been finalized overseas.

She may not even get a lawyer. Maybe she expects you to give her what she's asking for simply by mentioning she's getting a lawyer.
Given that she lived with you in your house in Canada for only about 3 months, and you had purchased it yourself before you married, I would
be shocked if she is entitled to a portion of the value of the home. Again. only a Lawyer can really tell you.

Lawyers will often offer a low cost initial meeting for the first half hour or hour to discuss your situation and decide if they will represent you.
Also, some law societies offer a free consultation phone number where you can ask a lawyer a question.
