I Need help on knowing if I can carry Passports of my Family for PR Stamping to India if i have authorization letter from my wife to carry her and my son's passport to India for Permanent residency stamping and carry them back to Canada with their Permanent Residency status. We are currently having Open Work Permits issued for myself and wife and son was issued Visitor visa. I was nominated under the PNP Program by the province of Ontario and they had given me the option to come to Canada on open work permits while processing for PR was going on in India. So we moved to Canada and now few days back received the mail from Canadian High Commission of Canada in New Delhi to submit our medical records, Right of landing fees, passports and Background declaration forms for all of us. I am aware of the fact that we cannot send passports to India through Courier or mail as the Law of India does not allow the send the passports through courier and mail.
I want to know if i go alone to India to get the PR's stamped for all of us with me having and authorization letter from my wife to allow to carry my families passports and get the PR's stamped.
How would they be given the Landing, would they be required to exit in order to get the Landing Status? If Yes, can they exit from the Canada at the Niagara Falls to US and take a transit there and then and get the landing done from Niagara Immigration Office or we all need to travel to India together to get the PR's stamped.
If anyone can guide me, please reply to this thread as we moved to Canada 4 months back on Open work permits.
