Hello. I'm Indian and require some advice/help Background : University and Course - McGill University, Bachelor of Arts - Joint Honours in Economics and Finance. Term of Entry - Originally I planned to enter in the Fall 2012 term but did not apply for my permit as I met with an accident and was recovering. I withdrew from the Fall Term and got readmission to the Winter Term. My original offer letter states Fall 2012 but I have signed documents verifying my program, readmission and new term of entry. Education - Cambridge IGCSE for 10th and Cambridge A-Levels for 12th. This is the board exam done by Cambridge University which is written by nearly every country and is equivilent to the British board exam done by british citizens. My scored are quite high, Top 2% in the world for two of my subjects. Certificate from Cambridge University stating that I am also the Indian topper for one of the same subjects. . Proof of Funds ( Here is the tricky part ) - I currently own 2 propertys in my name. My Father put them in his and my name and he died 5 years back. I am in the process of selling one of my propertys and the deal is expected to finish in the next week. I have a bank account which has never had any funds in it. I am planning to put about 53000$ CAD in a fixed deposit and get about 20k CAD in Travellers Cheque. I also have been offered a 15 lakh education Loan from a bank here. My main issue here is that I dont have any bank statements. However, I do have government documemts that verify I have sold my property for xx to xx. I also receive 3000$ CAD a month as rent from my other unsold property. What do you guys suggest I do here? Should I just submit my application with the above or turn my fixed deposit into an educational loan which will mean I have two different education loans. Or I can convert the FD into an education loan and not tell the embassy about my other loan. . I realize my situation is quite unique and would appreciate some help. Also, what do you think of my chances? If it helps at all my sister also completed her undergraduate degree at UBC in Vancouver and is now working there after graduating.
