I need to extend my study permit. I’m outside of Canada. Currently I’m exempted from bordure closure because my study permit was issued in 2016. My TRV and Study permit expires on 31st of August,2020. However, I plan to apply for a new study permit through the process of outside of Canada at the local embassy. It only takes one week max, I called them. My issue is that I’m worried that they will cancel my current TRV and Study Permit since I’ll be getting a new one. I’m planning to get a new study permit/extend it at the local embassy before my current one expires. So, that’s why I’m scared they’ll cancel my valid TRV and Study permit due to the fact that Im getting a new one.
I don’t want them to cancel my current TRV and Study permit. Because they were issued before 2016 and I want to keep my exemption to get to Canada.
Am I being just paranoid or it’s a legit reason to be worried of?
What do they with your current TRV and Study Permit when you apply for a new one before the current one expires? Will both visas be valid or?
I’m sorry it might be confusing but i dont know how to explain better
