Did you try contacting the local police office in the city you lived in at Saudi? What was your status when you were residing there?

Hi Andrel,

Yes -getting saudi police clearance after you have left saudi, is one of the most difficult part of this process. However if you know someone back in Saudi, then it can be done pretty easily.

Let me share my experience and you can decide how you want to proceed.

1- Saudi police will need your finger prints. If you are not living there now, there is way to do it, without actually flying back there :). Go to your local police station, RCMP, FBI or any authorized institution for processing finger prints. Get your finger prints done on their official finger print form. I got my finger prints done on the official RCMP finger print form. They will type the purpose on the form - Saudi police clearance.

2- The difficult part. You need to get in touch with someone who is living in Saudi - preferably your employer or someone still working with that employer.

3- Send them the following:
-the finger prints done on an official police form (stamped and dated by that institution - should say for Saudi Police Clearance)
- Copy of your passport
- Copy of the pages of Saudi Visa on passport, including all pages showing Saudi Entry/Exit stamps
- Copy of your Saudi Iqama (guess your employer might still have it...even the iqama number will be enough)

4- Your contact will submit it in the central police station in the city where ever he is in saudi. They will send it to Riyadh. Takes around 15-20 days. Its Ramadan these days, followed by Eid holidays (1week holiday this year starting around 9august). So make your timelines accordingly and if need by, inform CIC that there will be delays. It usually takes 15 days, but these days it might take over a month. Unless your contact has connections there. Then you will have it in your hand in 15 days :)

5 - What will you have a in your hand? The same form you sent. But it will be stamped 'NO CRIMINAL RECORD' in english - with Saudi Police's official logo. So you dont need to do translation or anything. The stamp says it all!

This is the way i did it. I first tried to contact Saudi Embassy in Canada. They were completely useless - saying exact the same thing you heard from Washington. But i met a person on this forum who actually has done it without sending finger prints. Person's family got in touch with the local mayor or some other high official and that mayor wrote "no objections or no criminal records". This statement was written on the police form. Person's iqama detail were on the form as well. But that's it. And I am aware that CIC accepted this and the person has already got PR.

You can try the other route too. CIC is aware that getting Saudi police is a real hassle.

All the best.

Sure why not. You are happy to pay service charge?...they'll bill by the hour ;D

You need a police certificate when you live 6 months or more. Did you live that long? If you did, you must know someone who can do this on your behalf. Who was your employer?
