Need Help, no update On H1B Alberta program

Hi, I have applied for PR under Alberta H1B category last year Dec 2008. I hired a consultant/lawyer so that he will take care this PR process. I got the invitation letter from Alberta in January 2009 to apply AINP.
My consultant/lawyer was very slow and send my papers to Alberta in May 2009. I have not received the file number yet.
My consultant says that sometimes you will get the final approval and file number together, Is this true?

I suggest you must ditch the lawyer and proceed the CIC process on your own. this form has all the information to do the process by your own. this is just a suggestion.
 
Hello everybody,
We paid 1700 $ fee for Protech Immigration last year. WE send all the documents. They never called us. They send us an email a week ago that they want 1500 $ more to refile our case ??.
They are thieves, they just want your money. and they just barely speak english.
Stay away from Protech Immigration,
