NEED help !! Is This True ?? 2 year PG Diploma course = 3 year work permit?

I am applying from Hong Kong with a bachelor degree, i want to apply for post graduate diploma in college, but most of them only offer 1 yr program.
I wanna know can i do two programs that add up to 2 years of study and eventually get a 3 years Post graduate work permit. If not, 1 year work permit will be too short for PR.

I know in this website it states possible, but I cant find any nfo from the CIC website. Can anyone show me a solid source of information, I need to make a plan base on it. thank you.

Please help. I need some solid information on this, can two 1 yr programs get me a 3 yrs work permit??

I was going to apply for master, but my background is in marketing communication, MBA will be too expensive.

Specific eligibility criteria

• If the program of study is two years or more, the student would be eligible for a three year work permit.

• If the program of study is less than two years but at least eight months, the student would be eligible for a work permit lasting for a period equal to the duration of their studies. The validity period of the work permit must not be longer than this period. For example, if the student graduated from an eight-month certificate program, they are only eligible for a work permit of eight months' duration.

Exception: Students holding a one-year graduate degree from a provincially accredited post-secondary educational institution in Canada (pursued full-time) after having obtained, within the prior two years, a degree or diploma from an accredited post-secondary educational/training institution will qualify for a three year work permit. This exception also applies to students who have left Canada temporarily between the graduations.

Example: A student who obtained a one-year MBA from a provincially accredited post-secondary institution in Canada after having obtained a one year university diploma, no more than two years before obtaining the MBA, would be allowed to cumulate both degrees and therefore to get a three year PGWP.

"Students holding a one-year graduate degree from a provincially accredited post-secondary educational institution in Canada "

does post graduate diploma/certificate considered as a graduate degree??

pls someone clarify this for me.

All are graduate degrees, its a general term for all these three types:

1) Graduate Certificate Degree (1 year)
2) Graduate Diploma Degree (1 year)
3) Masters Degree (2 years)

In one of the course in Master degree, one university has mentioned course duration as "Minumum 6 Sessions". What does that mean?
1 session= 6 months or longer?

In Canada there are 3 sessions in one academic year. Fall Spring and Summer Session (Summer is optional in certain university)

So I guess 6 sessions mean 2 years.

To be sure about it, please mail the school :)

Thanks Snake,
I guessed so. I will enquire Uni though.
