Okay. I am really tired of getting some wrong information from my friends and this topic is totally depend on CIC officer. But I need help here.

I will have 7 months valid passport left before applying PR. (I cannot extend my passport anymore)
Someone says I need 6 more months valid passport after issuing PR.
Other person says I need 1 year valid passport after issuing PR.

Can anyone give me opinion if 7 months of valid passport is enough for getting PR?

Please help.

Thanks,

It's probably not enough - but hard to say.

You must be holding a valid passport at the time your visa is issued and you land in Canada. If you are just applying for PR now, there's going to be at least six months of processing (probably more), which doesn't leave enough time for the PR visa to be issued and for you to land.

I think it's almost certain you'll need to extend your passport to get through the entire process.
