Hi Friends - Wondering if you can help.
I got the PNP in March this year. Rather than filling in the PR forms for PNP, I ended up filling up forms of generic PR and submitted the application. I submitted all the original documents and PNP certificates along. The other mistake I did was that I didn't put the PNP sticker on the envelope. It has been more than 2 months since I have submitted the application and am still waiting to hear back from CIC. I have called them but they say that they can't help in this case. I am just worried that under PNP, we are given 6 months and generic PR application takes 36 months to process. What if the authorities don't open my application in time, and then send it back.
Options that I am debating:
1. Wait for CIC's response - i.e. send the application saying it is incomplete
2. Send the correct forms (along with copies of the documents sent before) along with a cover letter stating that I have made the mistake. My concern here is that it shouldn't screw up the process further
3. any other option....
I am not even sure if anybody else has committed this mistake before. If you can help, it will be great.
