Need help (continue SINP or accept newly granted OINP due to regulated NOC)

I have applied the EE PNP through SK and got the AOR on June 2016. The application has been changed to in progress since October 2016.
But since then there is no update.

I recently find that my vocation (NOC 2171) changed to regulated after my application. I don't know whether this has anything to do with my lengthy background check...anyway it is not finalized and PPR is nowhere yet.

The thing is, I have applied OINP at around the same time of my application of SINP. It was very slow and today I am emailed that the ON nomination is granted. I know from some job website that NOC 2171 is predicted to be in high demand in ON and it is not regulated.

Should I accept the OINP so that I might get a plan B in case my application to SINP is prolonged to very very long? I don't know whether take two nomination would bring troubles on the application access, or there is other potential risks involved. The only thing that is clear that the plan B needs extra costs.

I would like to hear your advise on the regard and many thanks for your support and ideas.

When did you apply for OINP? Which month?
If you have received nomination from Ontario, then accept it. You will get 600 additional points. You will no longer get SINP nomination once you accept this OINP nomination. Only one nomination can be accepted.

Agree with this, and this is correct.

OP, given what you explained, highly recommend to accept OINP.
