Hi,

I am a Canadian citizen with a valid CDN passport, living and currently working in the USA. I have Permanent Residence status in the US. I've been offered a position by a Canadian company out of Burnaby, BC. I want to continue living in the US and drive across the border each morning and work for the Canadian company.

Will this be a problem?
Do I need a special permit?

I have an SIN but will reside in the USA. I do not want to live in Canada as that will put my US permanent residence status into question. I have to reside in the US to maintain my status.

I apologize if this is the wrong board to post this question. Your guidance is very much appreciated.

Thank you,

There are no issues with your plans from a Canadian perspective.

I would recommend you post your question to a US immigration forum to get the US perspective.

Thank you Scylla. I am checking with the US side of things today and will be visiting both borders on Friday.

:)
