Hi,
please I need an advice. I applied for renewal of PR card in Dec 2015. I included a travel ticket with my application because I had urgent plan to travel abroad. CIC responded to me by email after 1 week asking for an entry/exit document issued by each country I visited in the past 5 years. I told them ( after contacting some embassies) I can't provide these documents because I need to travel and ask for these documents my self ( I visited 8 countries), I only provide them with entry/exit document from USA. After 1 week, CIC respond to me by email, stating that they transfer my case to local citizenship and immigration office!!
what does this mean? how much time it will take? is it bad news? please I need a clarification..

thx in advance

Typically this means your application is undergoing further reviews because CIC is concerned you don't meet the residency requirement. It's really impossible to say how long processing will take since processing times are different for each application - but I would assume it will take months rather than weeks.

Did you apply with only around 730 days of residency? If so, it's generally a very bad idea to apply for urgent processing unless you have far more residency days than you need to qualify to renew your PR. It generally causes CIC to review your application more closely and creates very long wait times for the card renewal.

If you can't provide entry/exit documents for each country you visited, then you should be trying to prove your residency to CIC in different ways (e.g. flight tickets).

Did you try sending them certified copies of immigration stamps (exit and entry) of the countries you visited?

thx for reply,
well, i stayed more more than 760 days, including continuous 14 months after mid of 2014. the problem is that I need to go to Europe for locum job, and there is no time frame from CIC to issue my pr card. I don't know what the local office will do? are they gonna call for interview ? are they gonna ask for additional document? it is so confusing. I wish if somebody had the same problem to share his experience with me.

Thx

Yes, I sent them a certified translated coloured copy of my passport.
