Hi....sorry if i sound a lil stressed right now :)...reason being that i have everything ready to put in my papers for immigration as a Federal Skilled Worker to Canada including my Police Clearance Certificates. The only thing i don't have immediately is the funds to show in my account but im working on depositing the funds within the next 1 or 2 months and was wondering if it is still possible for me to go ahead and submit my Application for the processing to start and as and when i do have the funds deposited in my account that i then get a statement and forward the same to the Visa Office. Also if i do wait then after the funds are in my account can i immediately Apply or do i need to again wait for 6 months to show that the funds have been in my account for 6 months and only then apply ??? I have been advised against doing this as i have been told that my Application would be rejected. What other options do i have ....is it possible for me to somehow get a job offer from there....is there anyone who can help me with this situation ??? Looking forward to your kind response at the earliest as the longer i wait my Police Clearance Certificates as well as my IELTS Scores and other Certificates etc would slowly lose their validity and i would have to again reapply (which again is a lengthy process). Any suggestions on how i should proceed....Thanks in advance for all your support, Regards, Eric.

Hi Eric:
Do you qualify with paid work of at least one full year in one of the 29 NOC categories? Do you score 67 points? There is no point in applying until you have everything required for the application, including the funds. Once you have them in place, you can apply. The main thing is that they have to be YOUR OWN MONEY. If you can show how you built that fund up and prove it is YOURS, then you can apply as soon as you have the right amount in your account, you do not have to have had it there for any number of months, but are advised not to remove it. Some VO's request updated bank statements later in the process. Your PCC is valid for a full year, but must not be more than 3 months old when it is received by CIO. IELTS is now valid for 2 years.
Looking for a job is a challenge. I don't know where you presently live, but if you can come to Canada and look for work, or have friends here to scout things out for you, that is your best chance.
Good Luck.

Hi Pippin, Thanks for the prompt response. I do qualify with paid work of more then a Year and also score just above 67 points. I Have 2 immovable properties (land & an apartment) which for now i am not selling but can sell in the future if required. I have however just sold my Car which will give me just above the amount which i need to have deposited in my account to show as proof of funds (but im not sure what kind of document i need to show in this case to prove that the funds have come from the sale of my Car). The proceeds from the sale however will only come to me by the end of a month or so. This is why i was in a dilemma whether i can apply the moment i have deposited the funds. There is one more thing ....the current company i work for pays me my salary in cash (because i am on a freelance / consultancy basis with them even though its full time) and cos of my current expenses i have not been depositing / withdrawing from my account....so will this be a problem as well ? Will it help if i get a letter from them stating that i am being paid in Cash ? Thank you again ....i was not aware that my PCC is valid for a Year as i was told by the issuing authority here that it is only valid for 6 months.....same for IELTS i was not aware that it is now valid for 2 years.....thats really great. I presently live in Bangalore but i do have good friends in Toronto & Edmonton so im sure i will get some support from them, Regards, Eric.

In Canada you would have transfer papers from selling a car which indicates the amount it is sold for. If you have documents similar to that to validate the funds it would be useful. If money was by cheque, an indication could be written on the cheque what it was for. If you are ever unable to comply with the EXACT instructions given by CIC, you must write a cover letter to explain the reasons.....this would apply for both your questions about the sale of the car and how you are paid for work. Will you have any problem with establishing your job duties if you are self employed? Do you have Tax statements to prove your income?
Isn't this FUN? (not)

Thanks again Pippin.....you have really been helpful. Yes i did sign transfer papers but did not keep a copy (but this i can get in the form of a Statement from the Transfer authorities showing the ownership transfer from my name to the New Owners name). For the Amount being received by me i will now ensure that i get it by Cheque on which it is mentioned as you have suggested. I do have Tax Statements and will get those updated as well :). Ahhhhhh Yes this definitely has not been fun....in fact has been really stressful.....will be really relieved once im physically there.....which i pray will be soon :).....Thank you again for all your help....couldn't have come to clarity without it, Regards, Eric.

Before sending your application, get a friend/family member to review your application carefully . After living and breathing each item for so many hours you may not even "SEE" it any more. DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING BLANK, put N/A where you have nothing to say. Sign and date the pages where required. Check that all dates are correct and that you have not left any time gaps in your personal history. Follow the CIO and VO Checklists to the letter. Do some research on Couriers. Our experience with Fedex was dreadful and it went to the courts in the end. Latest application sent by India Speedpost and delivered in 4 working days, would have been 3 if CIO had been open on Saturday. (Sent on Wed afternoon, arrived Nova Scotia Saturday, delivered Monday.)
Eric, I was happy to help you. I strongly believe "what goes around, comes around". I've been fortunate for the support and advice of many on this Forum over the past year. It won't be long and YOU will find yourself helping someone else. Good luck getting everything in order and finding the courage to let the package leave your hands.
