I need expert advise regarding definition of "conjugal relationship" in context of Real Brother & Real Sister living together for more than one year in a common, Shared Apartment with signed lease? Both are Single and Un-married?? Both went to Same University, Same Internship Institute and worked for Same company?? Please advise ASAP!!!

R u crazy to ask this question... before posting chk the meaning of the word conjugal in dictionary

Well You are right! I saw couple of definition where they were more focused on "Living Together" concept instead of "marriage type relationship". I just consulted few more websites.

i think the person meant "common law" not conjugal and the answer is still no.

Exactly, I was trying to find out that if two students/Professionals lived together with a Common lease so this well documented residence can help in immigration rather than sponsoring as a family member which will take years to process.

You should explain things a little better. I am shocked.

hey Hotchick for asking this Bullshit question do u have to start new thread man.

hhhmmmmm....West Virginia would still be better than some of the foresaken countries that many of you come from :) That shorthand (not icon) means I am kidding.

Anoop - Don't be judgemental. It is not uncommon for people in your country to marry cousins LOL. By the way, did you want her to hijack someone else's thread.

Hotchick - you made an honest mistake with your wording. Don't sweat about it.

I'm pretty sure Canada has law against incest in which case a brother and sister would not be able to marry nor classify as common-law or conjugal partners for immigration purposes.

If the deal is one or both of them wants to immigrate and they can't bear to be separated, they should both apply to immigrate (but separately) or the one that gets to Canada can move to AB, SK or MB and they can work on fulfilling requirements for sponsorship under PNP family stream.

i believe the intent of the original poster was to know what constitutes common law relationship - if it is staying together, whether bros & sis staying together forms that partnership;
answer to that is NO; this is for classical BF & GF relationship, not a bro-sis or other as*xual relationships.

those who got harsh on the poster - why do yo need to be so mean to someone you do not even know! many of us come from various diverse societies; in our country it is pretty common for bros & sis to share same apartment, multiple guys to be room-mates- all as*xual relationship!

I also think Abhi_hola is correct. The person is asking about common law relationship.

The OP should also read Leon's advice about AB, SK, MB PNP.

If both qualify for FSW, then you could apply at the same time.

Personally, I am deeply hurt by the language used by people to bash the creator of this thread.

While I myself do not support incest, probably because it is against my culture or my upbringing or of my values.
However I do not find anything wrong with the creator of this thread albeit little ignorance. Probably they are asking our definition/meaning for the same. If we know its definition, lets help him/her. Else let's keep quite. I(we) have no right to bash someone if they follow it or if they do not know its literal meaning.

Common guys, we all want to immigrate to Canada because of its social values. In my country only yesterday gay marriages were legalized, whereas in Canada such people/relationships were welcome long back. So this right/wrong is temporal.

Look at the cultural differences b/n the people from different countries. In my country, its common for friends (of same gender) to hold hands and walk. Its common to put hand on shoulders and walk. In the West its not common and may be looked differently. Similarly, kissing in public is common and accepted social behavior in the West. Whereas, its a big no no in south east Asia. The bottom line is mutual tolerance of cultures.

And I believe, Canada is one such society where different cultures and practices are tolerated. So lets keep that spirit and help/educate/learn-from others.

Look who is talking, the most shameless person on this forum who talks of snakecharmers, but himself is a chameleon changing colors in forms of differnt IDs.

You not only put yourself in such a cheap position, you insulted the community you come from ...

How do you have heart to post such things and at least think in such a way.. people like you are ready to do anything to get into these cheap means of entry into another country in the name of "immigration"

Shame on you !

I agree with DNA. Please don't be discordant and austere to OP. She might have had wrong choice of words but I applaude her trust and guts to post such a question. My culture doesn't permit me to do anything on OP's lines but I am sure she has a case to refer to immigration attorney for further advice.
