I just took the free assessment for skilled worker, planning to migrate in Canada, particularly in Manitoba. Where I have an aunt. Unfortunately, I did not pass the said assessment. I'm a college undergrad for 2 years in Electrical Engineering and another 2 years for Accountancy. Basically, what I have is just a High school diploma. I was a scholar on the same school working as a programmer for the 4 years I've stayed there and was responsible in automating the school's enrollment system and the Accounts Receivable system. These work experience enabled me to land a good job in an electric distribution utility working as a Clipper programmer for 6 years, Oracle Forms & Reports Developer for the next 3 years developing mainly the Billing & Collection systems, became an Oracle Database Administrator for another 3 years and finally got promoted last 2004 as a Department Manager in Data Management. All in all I have 15 years of rich experience in IT. However, in my opinion experience alone may not be sufficient enough to gain a higher score. Though, I have plenty of certificates from the various trainings I've gained in this company and I'm wondering if this will somehow fill the gap of having no diploma. Would appreciate if anybody can assist me on what I should do. Thanks in advance.
